50 mile Appalachian Trail adventure next week

Next week i will be finally heading into the wilderness for a well needed several days away from society. i was supposed to do this in June in the White mountains of New Hampshire, but that was foiled from a broken foot i sustained. fortunately for me, my friend was kind enough to extend me an invite to his home in Atlanta, followed by several days on the AT in northern Georgia. I just finished gathering a few essentials this week such as a Snow Peak Litemax stove and and a GSI pinnacle soloist cooking system to complement the array of other gear i already own. of course as usual expect plenty of photos when i return, and provided my blackberry battery holds, updates from the trail can be had at www.twitter.com/patrickgensel.

Did you know that I used to live in Northern Georgia? I did. Did you know that less than a mile from where I lived was the end of the Appalachian Trail? It is.
I guess technically you could start in GA and end up near Pottsville? You can.
I think Bake Oven is near on on the trail too, you should check it out if you haven’t already.
Did the Litemax stove fit inside the GSI Soloist cookset? I’d like to get the Soloist but I also want to get the lightest stove that will nest into it.
